![]() Hello! I'm just another creative looking to make my mark... I enjoy developing creativity in the fine arts, which is what led me to becoming an art educator. I currently outsource my talents and am making connections in art, music, and technology--all fields I find interesting, where I can utilize my creativity. Once asked to describe myself, the response was, "Take a little Art Nouveau and add a heaping mixture of Raffaello & add Alphonse Muncha..."
As a graduate of North Central College's fine arts department, and having decades of developing my students and my own personal approach and evolution, I enjoy exhibiting my fine art, audio engineering/live sound/recording, and integrating technology to advance my approach to creating (in all these fields). Retro PR Studio was created to support like-minded creatives, who are seeking a creative space unsaturated and diluted by current waves of mindless AI & have developed & refined their own particular brand/evolution of creativity, in art & music. Think of it as a collective of actual talent in their respective fields, who are more focused upon stewardship & creating the best art & music possible. ![]() The August 8th exhibition features the work of Ruth George, who creates art that blends realism, nostalgia, and storytelling—celebrating beloved pets, fandoms, and personal identity through custom paintings, photography, and scaled models.
Using a stained glass-inspired technique, she turns her canvas paintings and portraits into vibrant windows of memory and meaning. Rooted in her theatre background and committed to inclusiveness, her work invites connection, authenticity, and a little bit of magic. Originally from Utica, Illinois, Ruth spent over 20 years living in Arizona and Florida while working regionally and internationally in the entertainment industry. She now calls Ottawa home, where she lives with her wife, two dogs, and two cats. Follow her work at: facebook.com/NerdStuffCustoms Email: [email protected] |
