Ray Cox is a photographer of great talent whose images of cars and nature and sporting events reflect his life’s work as a car mechanic and photographer, whose specialty is capturing unique images of flora, fauna, and architecture found in nature. Cox has worked in the field of photography for over 40 years. He and a partner operated a photography studio in Utica, Illinois for 20 years, while also working as an automotive technician for a business in Streator. Ray is self-taught, beginning with his 126 drop-in Kodak cartridges in 1969. He’s done everything from portraiture to landscape and is inspired by whatever catches his eye. He has participated in a number of professional gallery exhibitions in Illinois.

Katherine Buckley, too, has always loved nature and the peace and quiet that came along with it. After a year or so of watching her husband, Leroy, capture amazing photos of wildlife that they encountered while hiking, she decided to join him and have the best of both worlds. For Katherine, photography is about being creative—finding a unique shot and making it beautiful.

Scott Anderson is an award-winning photographer for Shaw Local, covering the La Salle NewsTribune,  Ottawa Times, and Bureau County Republican. He began his career as a freelance photographer during his sophomore year at La Salle-Peru Township High School when a F3 tornado devastated his hometown of Utica in 2004. He was taking a photography course when the tornado hit, so he submitted photos of the aftermath and was hired that fall as a freelancer at the NewsTribune. As a photojournalist, he has photographed Chicago Bears games, high school sports, local events, and breaking news stories. Anderson graduated from Harrington College of Design and began working for the NewsTribune in 2013 full-time. For the past two decades he has been devoted to providing photos of and covering Illinois Valley communities.

Leroy Buckley, an avid outdoorsman, Buckley recently began photographing images of the outdoors.  He has always made time for the outdoors and nature but only in the last five years has he dedicated his time and talent to photographing images he finds in nature. Nowadays his camera is with him wherever he goes. He loves sharing and showing people what he sees while out in nature.
