Dear Friends,
We need your help to continue doing what we do and we thank you for your continued support.
Since 2010, NCI ARTworks has been making great things happen in the arts community in the tri-county area. We are responsible for helping to finance and facilitate the creation and installation of all of the major public art installations in the tri-county area.
The Heritage Park mural in Streator, Illinois? That’s us.
The Mendota Gold mural in Mendota, Illinois? That’s us.
The Cherry mural in Cherry, Illinois? That’s us.
The Mary Uthoff Memorial Walkway in Princeton, Illinois? That’s us.
The Mendota Union Depot mural in Mendota, Illinois? That’s us.
The Seneca Shipyards Town Pride mural in Seneca, Illinois? That’s us.
48 months of award-winning local, regional & national art exhibits at our gallery in the Westclox Building in Peru, Illinois? That’s us.
Annual arts & culture fundraising trips to New York and Europe? That’s us.
Music programs and instruments in the schools? That’s us.
Free Summer and Winter Tubafests that hundreds of people attend? That’s us, too.
4 years of honoring United States veterans with our WW2 Tuesdays programming? That’s us.
10 years of celebrating the best and brightest youth talents in ALL of the arts in the tri-county area through our annual Mad Hatter Ball? That’s us.
NCI ARTworks has been showcasing local, regional, and national talent to the residents and students in the Illinois Valley for years. Whether it is facilitating the creation of major public art installations like the Ray Paseka murals in Cherry, Mendota, Streator, and Seneca or the Susan Burton mosaics in Princeton, or hosting monthly art exhibitions at the ARTworks Gallery in the Westclox building the 2nd Friday of each month and providing world-class music programs to Illinois Valley residents and schools, every single ounce of skill and expense necessary to provide the Illinois Valley with top-level arts and culture is worth it.
I am asking for you to support the arts in the Illinois Valley by donating to NCI ARTworks because the return on your investment is a thriving arts culture in the Illinois Valley.
Art is not only culture; it is also business. When communities support venues like NCI ARTworks, residents end up enjoying a standard of living that encourages talented people to stay and contribute to the cultural and economic life of the community. NCI ARTworks 2023 Queen of the Arts candidate Maddie Anke said it best, “Through supporting non-profit arts agencies like NCI Artworks, we are making it so that future generations of creatives and artists don’t feel they need to leave the Illinois Valley to be successful. We live in a beautiful place, and there are so many hidden gems that can be so inspiring to artists. With the right people, I truly believe that the Illinois Valley can become so much more of an art community where even artists from outside the area are drawn in. Investing in the arts is one of the best things you can do for the community, and I am very grateful to be able to be involved in such a positive organization.”
So help us keep great art and great people in our communities with your tax deductible donation to NCI ARTworks today.
All the best to you,
Julia M. Messina
